Stephen L. Domenik and Victor K. Lee Nominated to Board of Directors
SANTA CLARA, Calif.-- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- May. 8, 2012 -- MoSys, Inc., (NASDAQ: MOSY), a leader in semiconductor solutions that enable fast, intelligent data access for network and communications systems, today announced that Carl E. Berg will not stand for re-election to the Company's board of directors at the 2012 annual meeting of stockholders. After almost 20 years of service, Mr. Berg is retiring from the Company's board of directors. To fill the vacancy arising from Mr. Berg's retirement and to expand its membership, the board of directors has nominated Stephen L. Domenik and Victor K. Lee, who will both stand for election as independent directors at the 2012 annual meeting.
"Carl has been a valuable and longstanding contributor to our board of directors, and we are very grateful for his wisdom, guidance and many years of service," commented Len Perham, MoSys' President and Chief Executive Officer. "As one of our largest stockholders, he has a vested interest in our long-term success, and we are pleased that he will remain as an ongoing supporter of MoSys. On behalf of the entire MoSys' family, I want to thank Carl for his service and wish him well."
Mr. Berg further commented, "It has been a pleasure to work with MoSys' senior management and my fellow directors. I have seen MoSys through several transitions over the years, and I believe they have the right strategies in place to grow as a fabless IC company. MoSys has an entrepreneurial and innovative culture and the right leadership to execute its business plan. I look forward to staying involved with MoSys and contributing where I can."
Mr. Perham concluded, "Additionally, I am pleased to announce the nominations of Stephen Domenik and Victor Lee to serve as independent directors on our board. Steve's extensive experience and expertise in the semiconductor industry will allow him to contribute significantly to our fabless IC business strategy. I have also had the pleasure to work closely with Steve on the board of NetLogic Microsystems for over 10 years. Victor is a seasoned financial executive with significant fabless semiconductor experience and an in-depth background in finance, which makes him an ideal candidate to serve on our board of directors and lead our audit committee. We look forward to leveraging the experience, wisdom and guidance of these highly qualified candidates as we continue to expand our business as a fabless IC company."
The Company filed the proxy statement for its 2012 annual meeting of stockholders with the Securities and Exchange Commission on May 7, 2012.
