MoSys' India Design Center was founded in 2008 and employs sixty world-class SerDes designers. The design center is headed by Jagdish Rao.
Jagdish Rao, Managing Director of MoSys India operations based in Hyderabad India, is a veteran India design center leader and manager for US-headquartered semiconductor companies. He was the managing director of Ample Communications, running a 100 person engineering organization for 6 years based in Bangalore India. As part of Ample Communications, he created an entire product line of high speed networking chips with 10 million transistors each, all designed and tested in India.
Jagdish co-founded Future Integrated Systems Inc, built a strong analog mixed signal team, which was later acquired by National Semiconductor. Jagdish has been part of the semiconductor industry for 22 years, most in Silicon Valley, where he has lead several analog mixed signal design teams in SerDes, SFI-5, Gigabit PHYs and PLL's. He earned his BSEE from J.N.T. University, Hyderabad, India and MSEE from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.
